Jen Barber is put in charge of the IT department at Reynholm Industries despite the fact that she knows nothing about computers. This British series follows her misadventures with Moss and Roy, the two computer geeks who make up her apartment.
Grave Mistake: Episode 5, "The Haunting of Bill Krouse" (2006). After a terrible date with a guy from the office named Bill, Jen tells Moss that if Bill comes by, he should tell him she's busy. When Bill comes looking for Jen, in a moment of panic, Moss tells him Jen's dead. Bill spreads the rumor around the office, prompting the staff create a shrine to her outside the IT department, and Mr. Reynholm holds a memorial service for her with special guest, Elton John.
Season 2
Happy Death Day: Episode 2, "Return of the Golden Child" (2007). Moss fills out a quiz for Roy that predicts he's going to die on Thursday at 3pm, which happens to be at the same time as Denholm Reynholm's funeral. Roy is on edge all week, and during the service, as the clock strikes three, his phone rings, and thanks to Moss's souped up vibration setting, Roy thinks he's having a heart attack.
Video Will: Episode 2, "Return of the Golden Child" (2007). At Denholm's funeral, the priest plays a video will he recorded with instructions for his staff. When his estranged son, Douglas, shows up, the priest reveals that Denholm recorded a second tape just for him. On the tape, Denholm tells Douglas to watch the next part alone, but he lets it play, and Denholm starts talking about financial "irregularities."
Season 3
Pretend We're a Couple: Episode 5, "Friendface" (2008). When Jen reconnects with an old school friend on "Friendface," she lies about having a husband to impress her, so she needs someone to pretend to be her husband at a school reunion. Since Roy is busy telling an old girlfriend why he dumped her, Moss volunteers. When things turn south with Roy's ex‑girlfriend, he changes gears and tells her he's dating Jen, and to prove it, he brings her to Jen's reunion, where Moss has to pretend to be enraged by their illicit affair.
School Reunion: Episode 5, "Friendface" (2008). After meeting up with an old friend she found on "Friendface," Jen gets talked into attending a school reunion, and she brings Moss along to pretend to be her husband.
Season 4
Dungeons & Dragons: Episode 1, "Jen the Fredo" (2010). Jen talks Douglas into making her "entertainments manager," and she's tasked with entertaining a group of out-of-town businessmen, but they're disappointed by her itinerary. Desperate to find something that will make the businessmen happy, Jen asks Moss and Roy for help. Moss teaches the them how to play Dungeons & Dragons, and they have a great time.
Game Show: Episode 2, "The Final Countdown" (2010). Moss gets accepted to be on Countdown and becomes inducted into a secret society of Countdown champions.
See You in Court: Episode 3, "Something Happened" (2010). Roy hurts his back and goes to a massage therapist. During the massage, the therapist leans over and kisses Roy on the butt. With Moss's encouragement, Roy takes the massage therapist to court and sues him for damages.
Sure, I'll Join Your Cult: Episode 3, "Something Happened" (2010). Douglas goes on vacation and meets a self-styled guru who convinces him to join his "spaceology" cult, that promotes "space star ordering," a belief that the stars can help people make all their wishes come true.
See You in Court: Episode 6, "Reynholm vs Reynholm" (2010). Douglas's missing wife turns up, and Douglas files for divorce, so she takes him to court and exposes disturbing details about their relationship so she can take all his money.
