We Were Robbed
A character's home or office is robbed. They almost always get their stuff back by the end of the episode.

- The Mary Tyler Moore Show: Season 1, episode 18, "Second Story Story" (1971). Mary's apartment is robbed twice, and everything in it is gone. All her friends pitch in to help by lending her clothes and giving her some essentials like kitchenware and electronics.
- The Odd Couple: Season 2, episode 15, "Security Arms" (1972). Oscar and Felix's apartment gets robbed, prompting Felix to look for a more secure place to live.
- Sanford and Son: Season 3, episode 3, "Fred, the Reluctant Fingerman" (1973). Julio's house is robbed, and his goat, Chico, goes missing. Fred saw who did it, but he refuses to talk to the police.
- The Bob Newhart Show: Season 2, episode 19, "Clink Shrink" (1974). Howard's apartment is robbed, and Bob's new ex-con patient thinks he knows who did it.
- Rhoda: Season 2, episode 1, "Kiss Your Epaulets Goodbye" (1975). Rhoda and Joe's apartment is robbed when Carlton lets in some guys who claim to be from Goodwill.
- Barney Miller: Season 1, episode 7, "Bureaucrat" (1975). Chano's apartment is robbed, and he arrests a 12-year-old boy for the crime.
- What's Happening!!: Season 3, episode 10, "Positive Identification" (1978). Raj and Rerun help a man who claims to be a mover carrying a large sack out of their apartment building, but they quickly discover the man had actually just robbed their apartment. When they can't identify him in a line-up, he feels badly about what he did and returns all their stuff.
- WKRP in Cincinnati: Season 3, episode 20, "Nothing to Fear But..." (1981). While Johnny is working the late shift, burglars rob the station, stealing all the typewriters and cleaning out everyone's desks.
- Too Close for Comfort: Season 3, episode 14, "To Buy or Not to Buy" (1983). While Muriel and Henry are at the pediatrician with Andrew, Sara accidentally lets in burglars posing as furnisher refinishers, and they rob the upstairs apartment.
- Night Court: Season 2, episode 12, "The Birthday Visitor" (1985). On Harry's birthday, Billie invites him back to her apartment, and they walk in an armed burglar in the process of robbing her.
- The Golden Girls: Season 1, episode 8, "The Break-in" (1985). The gang comes home after a night out to find the house a shambles from a robbery.
- Dream On: Season 1, episode 8, "Martin Gets Lucky" (1990). Martin's apartment gets robbed, and in the aftermath, he finds his long lost Sandy Koufax baseball card.
- Seinfeld: Season 1, episode 3, "The Robbery" (1990). While Jerry is away, Elaine stays in his apartment, and Kramer leaves the door open, allowing thieves to go in and rob him.
- Bottom: Season 2, episode 2, "Burglary" (1992). Richie falls from the second floor and lands on top of a burglar who was trying to rob him and Eddie. The lads tie up the burglar with a whole lot of "Sellotape" and plan to pawn his bag of stolen goods and run off to the Bahamas. While they're deciding how to kill the burglar, his partner climbs through the window, knocks them out, ties them up, and robs them.
- Herman's Head: Season 1, episode 23, "Guns 'n' Neurosis" (1992). Herman comes home from working out to find that his apartment was robbed. The robbers even took all of his clothes, so he's stuck wearing his athletic gear to work.
- The Nanny: Season 2, episode 26, "Fran Gets Mugged" (1995). After confronting her mugger, Fran's fears are finally starting to abate, then she and Mr. Sheffield arrive home to find the mansion has been robbed and Niles is tied up and gagged.
- Just Shoot Me!: Season 2, episode 13, "Pass the Salt" (1998). Maya is having Jack over for dinner to prove to him that her neighborhood isn't dangerous, but when she comes home from the grocery store with food for the occasion, she realizes someone has stolen all of her furniture.
- It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 1, episode 4, "Gun Fever" (2005). The gang comes to work to find that the bar has been robbed and their safe is missing, and the police aren't doing anything about it, so Mac and Dennis decide to conduct their own investigation, but they go after the wrong guy, and Charlie confesses that he was the one who robbed the bar as part of an ill-conceived insurance fraud scheme to help him pay his rent.
- Peep Show: Season 5, episode 1, "Burgling" (2008). Mark and Jeremy come home from a double date to find that their apartment has been robbed. Later, after a solo date, Mark comes home to find the burglar had returned, and in an unusual move, Mark wrestles him to the ground and holds him prisoner while he waits for the police to arrive.
- The Office (US): Season 4, episode 4, "Crime Aid" (2008). Michael and Holly go on their first date, but Holly can't wait, and she pulls Michael into a supply closet to make out, and they're both so distracted that they forget to lock the doors, and the office gets robbed.
- Flight of the Conchords: Season 2, episode 5, "Unnatural Love" (2009). Jemaine accidentally starts dating an Australian woman, and Bret and Murray want him to dump her, but he's not sure how he feels until he comes home from pondering and finds Bret duct-taped to the door and their apartment cleaned out, and Bret tells Jemaine his Australian girlfriend and her roommate robbed them.
