Newspaper reporter Tim O'Hara's life is turned upside-down when he finds an injured martian in a crashed spaceship and invites him to move in with him.
Lie Detector: Episode 4, "Russians R in Season" (1963). After Tim publishes an article with a formula Martin muttered in his sleep, the government suspects that he's a Russian spy and makes him take a lie detector test.
Amnesia: Episode 18, "Who Am I?" (1964). A monkey wrench that Martin left suspended in mid-air drops on his head and gives him amnesia, making him forget that he's a martian.
When I Paint My Masterpiece: Episode 20, "My Nephew the Artist" (1964). Martin needs money, so he decides to create some paintings in the styles of several famous artists and sell them. When his art starts getting noticed, he claims Tim is really the artist to avoid the limelight.
Don't Buy This House: Episode 25, "The Sinkable Mrs. Brown" (1964). A shifty real estate agent talks Mrs. Brown into selling her property, which would leave Tim and Martin homeless, so Martin uses his martian powers to make it seem like the house is falling apart, which scares away the prospective buyers and the agent.
Unnecessary Makeover: Episode 31, "Miss Jekyll and Hyde" (1964). Martin uses his martian powers to surreptitiously give Mrs. Brown's brilliant and beautiful niece, Paula (played by TV's "That Girl," Marlo Thomas) a makeover that just involves putting her hair up and taking her glasses off.
Season 2
Accidental Eavesdropping: Episode 5, "Dial M for Martin" (1964). When a cut telephone wire hits Martin, his head begins to function as a telephone, picking up the neighbors' conversations.
15 Minutes of Fame: Episode 7, "My Uncle the Folk Singer" (1964). At a local coffee shop, Martin unknowingly drinks a cappuccino seasoned with cinnamon, which causes him to involuntarily play American folk music through his head, so he jumps on stage and pretends to be a folk singer. Soon he becomes a mild celebrity, and the fame goes to his head.
Rainmaker: Episode 11, "Don't Rain on My Parade" (1964). During a long dry spell, a neighbor, Mr. Baldetti, claims he can make it rain with a combination of his "stamp" dance and rainmaker machine.
Boo! Haunted House: Episode 18, "Martian Report #1" (1965). Martin takes in an orphan named Doris to prove his theory that human children would be better off being put into a deep freeze until adulthood. When Doris accidentally reads his report, she runs away and finds herself in a spooky old mansion being chased by what she thinks are ghosts.
Practice Makes Perfect: Episode 20, "A Martian Fiddles Around" (1965). Mrs. Brown is taking violin lessons and insists on practicing day and night, and her horrendous playing is making Martin turn transparent.
