- The Odd Couple: Season 1, episode 19, "You've Come a Long Way, Baby" (1971). After a photo shoot, Felix discovers a baby in his studio.
- WKRP in Cincinnati: Season 1, episode 16, "I Want to Keep My Baby" (1979). A fan leaves her baby with Johnny. At first, he's ready to turn the baby over to Children and Family Services, but he changes his mind and decides to take care of the baby until her mother comes back for her.
- Night Court: Season 1, episode 12, "Bull's Baby" (1984). Bull's neighbor asks him to babysit her baby and doesn't come back, and Bull is so exhausted from taking care of the baby that he's falling asleep on the job.
- The Golden Girls: Season 2, episode 16, "And Then There Was One" (1987). Rose signs the gang up to babysit for the children of people participating in a charity walk-a-thon, and after the event is over, one baby is left at their house, and the walk-a-thon organization can't find any sign of her parents.
- Bottom: Season 2, episode 5, "Holy" (1992). On Christmas day, someone rings the doorbell and leaves a baby at the lads' front door. When Richie brings him inside, Eddie tells him to "get rid of it" because they're happy as they are, and the baby come between them.
- The Nanny: Season 2, episode 6, "The Nanny-Napper" (1994). A woman lets Fran hold her baby on the subway, then disappears, leaving her baby behind.
- Spin City: Season 3, episode 5, "It Happened One Night" (1998). At a rally for his re-election campaign, someone hands the mayor a baby, then disappears, so the mayor takes the baby back to City Hall, where Mike decides to take care of him.
- It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 3, episode 1, "The Gang Finds a Dumpster Baby" (2007). The gang finds a baby in the dumpster outside the bar, and they don't know what to do with him, while Mac and Sweet Dee try to exploit him for money by making him a child actor, Charlie thinks the baby is the lovechild of Frank and the waitress (he's not), so he rants at the waitress, and she calls CPS just in time.
