• Good Times: Season 2, episode 14, "Florida's Big Gig" (1974). James interviews for great job at a store, and he's convinced he got it. Florida goes along with him to see if they have anything available for her, and she ends up getting the job because the store wants to comply with government regulations on hiring minorities, and being a Black woman, Florida is apparently "two minorities" at once.
• What's Happening!!: Season 2, episode 5, "Nothing Personal" (1977). Shirley is thrilled to land a secretary job even though she has no experience, but when she's given nothing to do all day, she realizes they only hired her because she's Black.
• Night Court: Season 8, episode 20, "Mac Takes a Vacation" (1991). When Mac graduates from college, he's offered a job working for a supreme court judge, and it turns out the judge only hired him to ingratiate himself to his Black constituents.
