Will You Marry Me Again?
A couple renews their wedding vows, usually because their original wedding was insufficient. It's almost always at the wife's insistence, and it never goes right.

- Car 54, Where Are You?: Season 1, episode 27, "The Courtship of Sylvia Schnauser" (1962). After attending a wedding, Sylvia Schnauser demands a vow renewal from Leo because she was disappointed with their quickie courthouse wedding.
- The Mary Tyler Moore Show: Season 3, episode 4, "Enter Rhoda's Parents" (1972). Rhoda's parents decide to renew their vows while they're in Minneapolis.
- WKRP in Cincinnati: Season 3, episode 19, "A Simple Little Wedding" (1981). For their 25th anniversary, Mr. Carlson and his wife plan to renew their vows because they eloped when they got married the first time. They plan a small wedding with a few close friends, but when Mr. Carlson's mother gets involved, it blows up into a huge affair, so they decide to elope again.
- Too Close for Comfort: Season 3, episode 6, "Do You Take This Woman Again?" (1982). For Muriel and Henry's 26th wedding anniversary, Muriel wants to renew their vows because they eloped when they got married the first time. They plan a small wedding with a few close friends, but when Muriel's mother gets involved, it blows up into a huge affair, so they decide to elope again.
- Mr. Belvedere: Season 2, episode 7, "Vows" (1985). George and Marsha's wedding anniversary is coming up, and the kids decide to plan a vow renewal for them.
- Newhart: Season 4, episode 16, "I Do, Okay?" (1986). Joanna wants to have a vow renewal for her and Dick's anniversary because their original wedding was some kind of group wedding with two other couples.
- ALF: Season 4, episode 17, "Gimme That Old Time Religion" (1990). According to the laws of his home planet, Melmac, Alf has to perform a religious ceremony before he turns 233, so he performs a vow renewal ceremony for Willie and Kate for their anniversary.
- Cheers: Season 10, episode 20, "Smotherly Love" (1992). Lilith's mother is upset about not having been at her and Frasier's wedding, so she insists that they renew their vows for their fifth anniversary.
- Bob: Season 1, episode 20, "I'm Getting Remarried in the Morning" (1993). For their anniversary, Trisha wants to throw her parents a vow renewal ceremony because they never got a real wedding due to Bob being stung by bees and going into anaphylactic shock.
- Dharma & Greg: Season 5, episode 21, "The Parent Trap" (2002). Kitty announces to the family that she and Edward are renewing their vows, but while Kitty plans, assigns jobs to Dharma and Greg, and fawns over her dress, Edward tells everyone he isn't going to show up because she never asked him if he wanted do it.
- Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 4, episode 9, "The Survivor" (2004). Larry and Cheryl renew their vows for their 10th anniversary, and of course, bizarre circumstances cause a series of unfortunate events: An angry Holocaust survivor causes Cheryl to spill wine on Larry's suit, Larry spends so much time memorizing his lines for The Producers that he forgets his custom vows and has to make some up on the spot, and the ceremony ends with Larry stomping on the Rabbi's hand as he's placing the ceremonial glass on the floor.
- Arrested Development: Season 2, episode 16, "Meet the Veals" (2005). George is desperate to get Lucille back from Oscar, so to prove his love for her, he plans a vow renewal ceremony, which is made difficult by the fact that he's on the run from the law. He enlists Gob to knock out Lucille with ether, then abducts her in a limousine and drives to Ann's church, where her reverend father performs the ceremony, but Oscar runs in and disrupts the proceedings.
- GCB: Episode 6, "Turn the Other Cheek" (2012). Ripp and Carlene are holding their annual vow renewal for their anniversary, and Carlene's brother, Luke, refuses to attend unless Amanda can go as his date, so Carlene surprises everyone by making Amanda her matron of honor.
- The Goldbergs: Season 2, episode 3, "The Facts of Bleeping Life" (2014). While preparing to watch the royal wedding, Beverly begins to regret her and and Murray's wedding because Murray sat down through the ceremony, so she decides she wants to have a vow renewal. She insists that she and Murray write their own vows, and when she realizes Murray plagiarized his from the theme song for The Facts of Life, it threatens to ruin her special day.
