A character thinks they won a free trip, but it turns out to be one long sales pitch for a timeshare. Sometimes they know it's a sales pitch, but they go anyway, thinking they're pulling one over on the company.

• ALF: Season 1, episode 26, "Come Fly with Me" (1987). Alf receives a letter in the mail saying he won a free weekend trip. Willie points out that it's just a sales pitch for a timeshare, but when Mr. Ochmonek tells the Tanners that he and Mrs. Ochmonek are going too, they decide to go anyway.
• Wings: Season 3, episode 11, "The Bogey Man" (1991). Joe, Brian, Lowell, and Roy fly to Florida for a free weekend at a timeshare condo and have to sit through a three-hour presentation that makes Joe reminisce about the time he had to pass a kidney stone, and just as they're finally about to go play golf, a hurricane hits.
