- The Bob Newhart Show: Season 5, episode 4, "Still Crazy After All These Years" (1976). Howard is so dependent on Bob and Emily that he's afraid to be alone while they're on vacation, so Bob refers him to Dr. Podbillion, a colleague who specializes in co-dependency. When the Hartleys return, they find that Howard's whole personality has changed, and he's acting a lot like the snooty Dr. Podbillion.
- Taxi: Season 3, episode 20, "Latka the Playboy" (1981). Latka is tired of being condescended to and treated like a child, so he studies a stack of Playboy magazines and develops a new personality named Vic Ferrari, who's a real sleazeball.
- Too Close for Comfort: Season 2, episode 8, "The Remaking of Monroe" (1981). Monroe takes an assertiveness course and starts acting like such a jerk that Henry bans him from their house.
- Cheers: Season 10, episode 19, "Rich Man, Wood Man" (1992). Woody takes a trip to England with Kelly and comes back acting like a total douche to everyone. It takes Sam and Norm both slapping him around to realize what a jerk he's being and make him return to normal.
- NewsRadio: Season 3, episode 13, "Led Zeppelin Boxed Set" (1997). When Matthew gets fed up with Bill bullying him, he takes a swing at Bill and feels so empowered by it that he starts acting like a perverted asshole. It's not until Bill "accidentally" hits him back that Matthew returns to normal.
