• Mork & Mindy: Season 3, episode 9, "Alas, Poor Mork, We Knew Him Well" (1981). An insurance salesman frightens Mork with tales of horrible disasters, so he seals himself inside a giant bubble in Mindy's living room.
• The Golden Girls: Season 1, episode 8, "The Break-in" (1985). After the house is robbed, Rose is so traumatized that she only sleeps during the day and buys a gun to protect her at night.
• Newhart: Season 5, episode 11, "Everybody Ought to Have a Maid" (1986). Stephanie breaks her toe when a rung breaks off of Georges ladder, and George becomes terrified that something horrible is going to happen to his friends, so he runs around the inn trying to fix and reinforce everything he can, and he warns everyone to be extra careful.
• ALF: Season 3, episode 25, "Shake, Rattle and Roll" (1989). After an earthquake hits the Tanner house, Alf becomes terrified that something is going to kill him any minute, and his fear starts to rub off on Brian.
