Lamaze Class

A pregnant woman attends Lamaze class. Usually, her birth partner (who is often not the baby's father) engages in hilarious hijinks.

Appearances

• The Odd Couple: Season 2, episode 1, "Natural Childbirth" (1971). Oscar's pregnant niece is staying with him and Felix, and she insists on having her baby in a hotel room in the Bronx. When Oscar forbids her from having the baby her way, she disappears and turns up in a Lamaze class.
• Too Close for Comfort: Season 2, episode 17, "Seventh Month Blues" (1982). To prepare for the birth of their baby, Henry and Muriel join a Lamaze class, and they hold the first class in their apartment.
• Night Court: Season 7, episode 21, "My Three Dads" (1990). Since Tony is away, Mac volunteers to be her partner in Lamaze class, but he passes out when he sees the brochure, so Christine decides to go alone. To her surprise, Harry, Dan, and Bull all show up to the class to help her.
• Dream On: Season 4, episode 12, "And Bobby Makes Three" (1993). Judith is pregnant, and of course, Richard is off saving lives or something, so she asks Martin to accompany her to Lamaze class, where he runs into an old flame from high school and asks her out.
• 3rd Rock from the Sun: Season 3, episode 16, "Pickles and Ice Cream" (1998). Sally meets a group of pregnant women and feels left out, so she pretends to be pregnant too. Part of the act involves attending a Lamaze class with Dick.
