- Mork & Mindy: Season 3, episode 10, "Mork and the Bum Rap" (1981). Mork is trying to help Mindy raise money for a children's hospital, and he meets a beggar who teaches him everything he knows about "fundraising," and soon Mork is dressing like a bum and raking it in.
- Beavis and Butt-Head: Season 5, episode 32, "Beavis, Can You Spare a Dime?" (1995). Beavis and Butt-Head mean a homeless man begging on the sidewalk and are inspired to try it themselves. At first, their new friend is annoyed by their encroaching on his territory, but when passersby think the boys are his poor, dumb sons, he starts cleaning up.
- 3rd Rock from the Sun: Season 5, episode 7, "Sex and the Sally" (1999). When Tommy and Harry are mistaken for beggars, they realize they can make money by standing on the street, shaking paper cups, and soon it becomes their full-time job.
- Home Movies: Season 2, episode 2, "Identifying a Body" (2002). Brendon is collecting money for a walk-a-thon when McGuirk invites him on a road trip to identify his uncle's body, and at every pit stop, McGurik asks Brendon to pay for something. Not having any money himself, Brendon uses his walk-a-thon money. McGuirk swears he'll pay him back, but he doesn't, so Brendon stands on a corner asking strangers for donations, which angers the blind, legless veteran who works that corner.
