Mr. Gray
An older gentleman dyes his gray hair in an attempt to look younger. Usually it drips, melts, or comes off on the furniture, and he always stops dying it by the time the episode is over.

- The Mary Tyler Moore Show: Season 4, episode 22, "Lou's Second Date" (1974). Ted wants to give himself a more youthful appearance, so he starts using a product that dies his hair gradually over time because he doesn't think anyone will notice, but they do, and when he thinks Rhoda is interested in Lou because he's an older man, Ted changes his mind and goes back to his natural color.
- Frasier: Season 5, episode 22, "The Life of the Party" (1998). Frasier and Niles throw a singles party at Niles's apartment to help give their love lives a boost, and Martin, hoping to find love himself, dyes his hair black to make himself look younger. Unfortunately, the dye comes off on an antique chair, and Martin has to remain seated through the whole party to hide it.
- The Office (US): Season 4, episode 2, "Dunder Mifflin Infinity" (2007). When Ryan comes back to the office to make a speech about how the company is getting "younger and faster" and more high tech, Creed feels threatened because of his age, so he dies his hair black with toner, which drips on his shirt.
- Still Game: Season 5, episode 4, "Hard Nuts" (2006). Navid is going through a mid-life crisis. He starts dressing younger, dying his hair beard, and doing things that are against his religion, like gambling. When he wanders into the Clansman and orders a whiskey, Meena kicks his ass and drags him back home, where he returns to his normal self.
- Still Game: Season 9, episode 2, "Cat's Whiskers" (2019). Twilight Magazine, a lifestyle magazine for seniors, is looking for new cover couple, and the whole gang wants to try out. Jack tries to up chances by dying his hair with dye that drips down his face. Shug ends up getting the job, so Jack goes back to his old look.
- Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 12, episode 2, "The Lawn Jockey" (2024). Jeff, whose hair has been gradually turning gray, dyes his hair brown, and when the gang goes to Atlanta, the hot sun makes Jeff's hair dye melt and drip down his face, so he uses the rest of it to change the color of a lawn jockey.
