A character has to serve jury duty, and hilarious hijinks ensue. Usually one member of the jury persists in voting differently from everyone else.

- The Dick Van Dyke Show: Season 1, episode 24, "One Angry Man" (1962). Rob serves jury duty, and he votes innocent while all the other jurors vote guilty.
- The Odd Couple: Season 1, episode 4, "The Jury Story" (1970). Oscar and Felix tell the story of how they met while on jury duty.
- WKRP in Cincinnati: Season 3, episode 6, "A Mile in My Shoes" (1980). While reluctantly serving jury duty, Herb is elected foreman and has to keep a group of whacky characters focused on the case so they can decide on a verdict and he can go back to work.
- Newhart: Season 7, episode 7, "12 Annoyed Men and Women" (1989). Dick serves on a jury, where one guy insists on voting the opposite way from everyone else because he's lonely and doesn't want the trial to end.
- The Nanny: Season 4, episode 17, "Samson, He Denied Her" (1997). Fran and CC are both serving on a jury for the trial of a woman whose life seems to parallel Fran's, and it helps her understand Mr. Sheffield a little better.
- 3rd Rock from the Sun: Season 3, episode 7, "Eleven Angry Men and One Dick" (1997). Dick is selected for jury duty, and makes friends with a guy he meets at the vending machine who turns out to be the defendant, so Dick keeps insisting he's not guilty, even though the rest of the jury thing he's guilty.
- Malcolm in the Middle: Season 3, episode 20, "Jury Duty" (2002). Lois gets jury duty, and the rest of the jury is ready to vote guilty just so they can go home, so Lois casts a protest vote of not guilty to make them deliberate more.
- Peep Show: Season 3, episode 5, "Jurying" (2005). Jeremy gets jury duty and accidentally runs into the defendant in a cafe and starts dating her, so he starts trying to convince the rest of the jury that she's innocent. When he finds out that she commits crimes on a regular basis, even though she is innocent of the crimes she was charged with, Jeremy convinces the rest of the jury to vote guilty.
- The Office (US): Season 7, episode 11, "Classic Christmas" (2010). Toby is taking time off for jury duty, and he "accidentally" lets it slip that he's going to be in the jury for the trial of the "Scranton Strangler." When he visits the office while the court is in recess, he's eager to tell the gang about the case, but he has to keep quiet.
