A character's apartment building is being converted to condos, and they can't afford to buy in.

Appearances

• Barney Miller: Season 6, episode 12, "People's Court" (1980). Barney's apartment building is going condo, so he's scrambling to try to scrounge up the money to buy his apartment before he has to leave.
• It's a Living: Season 1, episode 3, "Roomies" (1980). Vicki has to move out of her apartment because her building went condo, but her new apartment is still occupied, so she temporarily moves in with Cassie.
• Taxi: Season 3, episode 15, "Bobby's Roommate" (1981). Elaine's apartment building is going co-op, and she can't afford to buy her place, so she needs a place to stay while she looks for a new apartment.
• Buffalo Bill: Season 1, episode 3, "Woody Quits" (1983). After Bill berates him, Woody quits and shows up at Bill's door to announce that he owns Bill's apartment building, and it's going co-op, so he has to buy his apartment or leave.
• Dream On: Season 6, episode 10, "Tie Me Sister Lu Down, Sport" (1995). Martin's building is going co-op, and he can't afford the outrageous price to buy his apartment, so he has to ask Gibby for a raise.
