It's Christmas, and the gang's excited about getting home to spend it with their families, but something happens to keep them from getting there, usually a storm of some sort.

• The Golden Girls: Season 2, episode 11, "Twas the Night Before Christmas" (1986). When a big storm hits Miami, cancelling all flights, the gang can't get home to be with their families for Christmas.
• Perfect Strangers: Season 2, episode 11, "A Christmas Story" (1986). Larry is depressed when blizzard prevents him and Balki from going to Wisconsin to spend Christmas with his family.
• Herman's Head: Season 2, episode 13, "A Charlie Brown Fitzer" (1992). Herman is driving himself and Mr. Bracken to Ohio to spend Christmas with his family, and he agrees to drop off Heddy and Louise at their respective family homes on the way. While they're dropping Louise off, her crazy cousin steals Herman's car with Mr. Bracken asleep in the back seat, so Herman and Heddy have to spend Christmas with the Fitzers, and Mr. Bracken spends it involved a high-speed police chase with Louise's crazy cousin.
