The gang has an intervention for someone, but not necessarily for drugs or alcohol.

Appearances
- Seinfeld: Season 3, episode 14, "The Pez Dispenser" (1992). Elaine runs into an old friend, who tells her another friend named Richie is messed up on drugs, so the gang holds an intervention for Richie at Jerry's house, and it takes a Pez dispenser to get Richie to go to rehab.
- Northern Exposure: Season 5, episode 17, "Una Volta in L'Inverno" (1994). Joel gives Walt a light therapy visor to help with his seasonal affective disorder, and the visor makes him feel so good that he starts acting strangely and recklessly, so Holling and Chris organize an intervention to get him off the visor and back to normal.
- Just Shoot Me!: Season 2, episode 4, "La Cage" (1997). Finch dates Elliot's ex-girlfriend, Nikki, who has a habit of abusing her boyfriends, including locking them in a cage, but Finch doesn't want to break up with her, so the gang holds an intervention for him in Jack's office. At first, he still denies how bad his relationship is, but eventually, he finally stands up for himself and dumps Nikki. Unfortunately, Elliot starts dating her again.
- The Office (US): Season 5, episode 11, "Moroccan Christmas" (2008). When Meredith's drunken antics cause her to catch fire, Michael holds an intervention for her at the office, but she continues to deny that she has a problem, so Michael says he's going to take her to a bar, but instead, he takes her to rehab.
- It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 5, episode 4, "The Gang Gives Frank an Intervention" (2009). Frank's wild, drunken behavior is getting out of hand, so the gang decides to give him an intervention. They bring a therapist to the bar to lead it, and as with most things they do, it devolves into chaos.
- The Goldbergs: Season 1, episode 21, "The Age of Darkness" (2014). Barry gets addicted to playing Punch-Out!! at the arcade, and when he's not playing it, he's scrounging for change so he can keep playing. It becomes such a problem that Adam and Pops hold an intervention for him. They try to invite his friends, but they can only get one guy named Roger.
- Moone Boy: Season 3, episode 2, "The Plunder Years" (2015). Padraic is going through a rough time at home with his parents constantly fighting, and it makes his imaginary friend, Crunchie, go off the deep end. His drunken, sad sack behavior gets so bad that the other imaginary friends have an intervention for him.
- The Goldbergs: Season 4, episode 13, "Agassi" (2017). Erica has been depressed ever since she realized she's in love with Geoff now that he has a girlfriend, so the family holds an intervention to tell her they want the old Erica back.
