A load of men go on a retreat—usually hosted by a guy who wrote a book—to get in touch with their feelings and "inner wild men."

- Dream On: Season 1, episode 6, "...And Sheep Are Nervous" (1990). After seeing a guest on Eddie's show, who wrote a book called, "Where'd I Leave My Penis?" Martin decides to attend one of his workshops, and he finds himself in a cabin with a bunch of other men, all in their underwear, crawling around on the floor, pretending to be different animals.
- Murphy Brown: Season 4, episode 4, "Male Call" (1991). The men at the office join Frank on a retreat to bond and get in touch with their "male ancestors." Murphy things the leader of the retreat is a fraud, so she secretly shows up to investigate him.
- Beavis and Butt-Head: Season 3, episode 26, "Canoe" (1993). Mr. Van Driesson takes Beavis, Butt-Head and Stewart on a canoe trip, and after Beavis capsizes the canoe, they find themselves stranded in the woods. Mr. Driesson takes the opportunity to lead the boys in some male bonding, and he plays them a song he wrote for the occasion called, "Men Have Feelings Too," during which he is abruptly mauled by a bear.
- Home Movies: Season 4, episode 2, "Camp" (2003). McGuirk attends a men's retreat with a group called "Crywalkers," and it isn't what he expected. The group give each other fruity nicknames and try to make him cry and forcibly hug him, so he runs away and gets lost in the woods.
