At the prospect of getting into show business, a character instantly "goes hollywood," usually by wearing sunglasses, a scarf, and/or a beret; being demanding and picky; and using showbiz slang.

Appearances
- The Munsters: Season 1, episode 28, "Movie Star Munster" (1965). Two con men convince Herman he's going to star in a movie they're making, which is really a car accident insurance scam, and his Hollywood attitude ends up saving him.
- Sanford and Son: Season 2, episode 24, "Rated X" (1973). When Fred decides to audition for an independent film, the idea of being a movie star makes him instantly go Hollywood, sporting sunglasses and a cigarette holder.
- Too Close for Comfort: Season 5, episode 21, "Off and Running" (1985). Henry gets swept up in show biz when he's offered a chance to turn Cosmic Cow into a TV show.
- 3rd Rock from the Sun: Season 2, episode 23, "Fifteen Minutes of Dick" (1997). Sally becomes a minor celebrity after a confrontation with Mark Hamill in a restaurant, and her newfound fame makes her instantly go Hollywood, ordering people around while wearing a turban and brandishing a long cigarette holder.
- 3rd Rock from the Sun: Season 3, episode 26, "The Tooth Harry" (1998). Dick weasels his way into appearing in a promotional video for Pendelton, and he instantly goes Hollywood, wearing sunglasses inside and draping his blazer over his shoulders like a cape while Tommy poses as his agent, requesting changes to the script.
