Who Brings a Dog to a Leg Funeral?
The gang holds a funeral for something for which people don't normally hold funerals, like a leg, an ant farm, or an office rat.

- The Odd Couple: Season 1, episode 10, "It's All Over Now, Baby Bird" (1970). Felix's pet parrot, Albert, appears to have passed away, and Felix and Oscar don't know what to do with his body. When they try to bury Albert in Central Park, a police officer stops them and tells them to go to a pet cemetery, where the owner talks them into buying a deluxe funeral and burial package.
- Taxi: Season 2, episode 14, "Jim Gets a Pet" (1979). To help Jim process his grief over the death of his horse, Gary, the gang holds a funeral service, and Jim delivers a moving eulogy.
- Mork & Mindy: Season 1, episode 24, "Mork's Best Friend" (1979). Mork keeps a caterpillar named Bob as a pet. When he thinks Bob has passed away, he holds a funeral for her with Mindy and Mr. Bickley, but just before he buries her in a potted plant, she turns into a butterfly.
- Diff'rent Strokes: Season 2, episode 23, "Arnold Faces Fatality" (1980). Arnold's goldfish, Abraham, dies, and the family holds a funeral for him.
- Mr. Belvedere: Season 3, episode 12, "Inky" (1987). Wesley pretends his hamster, Inky, died to convince his parents to get him a dog. He even goes so far as to get the family to attend a funeral for Inky in the backyard with Marsha singing "Amazing Grace."
- ALF: Season 3, episode 21, "Funeral for a Friend" (1989). Alf accidentally leaves his ant farm in the sun too long, and his ants die. To help him deal with his loss, Willie decides to hold a funeral for the ants.
- The Nanny: Season 1, episode 7, "The Imaginary Friend" (1993). Gracie is devastated when Fran accidentally eats the cookie on which her imaginary friend, Imogene, was sitting and kills her. To help her get closure, Fran and Mr. Sheffield hold a funeral for Imogene with the whole family and Niles.
- NewsRadio: Season 2, episode 3, "Rat Funeral" (1995). The gang befriends a rat living in the office, which they call Mike, but Mike get caught in one of the rat traps Dave just had the super put out, so they hold a funeral for Mike. Then they find another rat in a trap that looks exactly like Mike, so they hold another funeral.
- Malcolm in the Middle: Season 6, episode 14, "Ida Loses a Leg" (2005). Grandma rescues Dewey from getting hit by a truck and loses a leg in the process. Dewey is racked with guilt and having nightmares, so to help him feel better, he decides to hold a funeral for Grandma's leg. Unfortunately, Hal shows up in the middle of it with a new dog for Dewey, and the dog runs off with the leg.
- The Office (US): Season 3, episode 4, "Grief Counseling" (2006). Michael is upset that his former boss, Ed Truck, passed away, so when Toby tells him he saw a bird fly into a glass door and die, Michael insists that everyone join him in the parking lot for a bird funeral. Pam designs a special box for it and writes a eulogy, and Dwight plays his recorder while Pam sings, and the ceremony makes Michael feel better.
