- The Mary Tyler Moore Show: Season 1, episode 5, "Keep Your Guard Up" (1970). When a life insurance salesman visits Mary, Phyllis reveals that she and Lars are into "cryonetics" and plan to be frozen when they die, so they don't need life insurance.
- Barney Miller: Season 4, episode 11, "Atomic Bomb" (1977). A woman comes to the precinct for help because she says her husband wants to be frozen for 100 years, but he doesn't want to wait until he dies. He wants to do it while he's still alive.
- Soap: Season 1, episode 13 (1978). After Peter's funeral, the Tates and Campbells are discussing what they want to happen to them after they die, and Chester says he wants to be frozen so that when they find a cure for what killed him, he can be revived.
- Cheers: Season 8, episode 12, "Woody Interruptus" (1990). Cliff tells the gang at Cheers that he plans to have his head frozen when he dies. When the gang expresses cynicism, he and Frasier play a prank on them by bringing in a "scientist" who claims he's carrying a frozen head in a box.
- Dream On: Season 4, episode 25, "Stone Cold" (1994). Richard drops dead due to the defective kidney Martin donated to him, and according to his wishes, his body is cryogenically frozen to be revived at a future date, if possible.
- The Nanny: Season 3, episode 23, "That's Midlife" (1996). CC is in a good mood because she decided to be frozen when she dies so she can live forever.
