Horsing Around
A character somehow obtains a horse, usually a race horse. Sometimes they try to keep the horse as a pet, but usually they try to use it to make money.

- Sanford and Son: Season 4, episode 8, "My Kingdom for a Horse" (1974). A man cons Fred into buying a retired race horse by convincing him he could make big bucks selling the horse as a breeding stud, but the horse turns out to be a gelding that can't breed.
- The Bob Newhart Show: Season 5, episode 24, "You're Having My Hartley" (1977). Bob and The Peeper get drunk and come back to Bob's apartment with a horse they say they bought. Later, Bob confesses they stole it from a cop.
- Taxi: Season 2, episode 14, "Jim Gets a Pet" (1979). When the guys introduce Jim to betting, he wins a bundle at the track, then uses his winnings to buy the horse he bet on. He takes the horse back to his apartment and names him Gary.
- It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 3, episode 13, "The Gang Gets Whacked: Part 2" (2007). Charlie makes friends with some jockeys and starts planning to buy a horse with the money he and Sweet Dee will get from selling some cocaine they found, but they start getting high on their own supply and get hooked on it. When they realize they have no cocaine left, they plan to run, and Charlie reveals his friend, Peter Nincompoop, who is a horse he's keeping in the alley.
