Going My Way: Episode 5, "And God Created Woman" (1995). Polly Clarke, an author of salacious romance novels, visits the island, and Ted instantly becomes smitten with her. He rushes through mass to be with her, much to the chagrin of a visiting group of nuns, but when Ted finally gets Polly alone, she tells Ted that she's decided to become a nun.
Grave Mistake: Episode 6, "Grant Unto Him Eternal Rest" (1995). Ted and Dougal find Jack passed out drunk, and a visiting nun tells them he's dead. They spread the word and hold a funeral, and in accordance with his will, they sit up with his coffin all night to make sure he's really dead (he isn't).
Season 2
Vacation from Hell: Episode 1, "Hell" (1996). Ted, Dougal, and Jack take a vacation in a friend's cramped camper. Unfortunately, Dougal accidentally left all of their supplies at home, it's pouring rain outside, and they don't even have any tea bags to make tea, so they have nothing to do but sit and stare at each other. When the rain lets up, they visit "St. Kevin's Stump," which is exactly what it sounds like (a stump). Things get even worse when Father Furlong shows up with his youth group and keeps everyone up all night singing pop hits at the top of his lungs.
Rigged Raffle: Episode 2, "Think Fast, Father Ted" (1996). Ted and Dougal hold a raffle to raise money to fix their leaky roof, but the car the archdiocese gave them to raffle off gets ruined when Ted tries to hammer out a dent, so they borrow a car from "The Dancing Priest" and rig the raffle so that they'll win the car, and they can give it back. Unfortunately, Jack crashes the car, and the gambling-addicted DJ runs off with the money.
Going Your Way: Episode 3, "Tentacles of Doom" (1996). Three bishops come to Craggy Island to upgrade the Holy Stone of Clonrichert to a class 2 relic, and after speaking to Dougal for just a few minutes, one of them decides to leave the church and travel with a group of pothead hippies in a spray-painted van.
Let's Write a Song: Episode 5, "A Song for Europe" (1996). When Ted hears that his rival, Father Dick Byrne, and the gang from Rugged Island are competing in the Eurovision song contest, he can't pass up the opportunity to best him. He and Dougal struggle to write a song, so they decide to steal the tune from an obscure old song.
Giving Things Up Competition: Episode 8, "Cigarettes and Alcohol and Rollerblading" (1996). It's Lent, and Father Dick Byrne is even more smug than usual, bragging about how he and the Rugged Island gang have given up their vices and experiencing "peace" and "serenity." Ted, who refuses to lose to Dick Byrne in a "giving things up competition," insists that he, Dougal, and Jack give things up too, but it proves to be much harder than Dick made it sound.
Remember Me?: Episode 11, "A Christmassy Ted" (1996). A priest shows up at the parochial house and claims to be an old friend of Ted's, but Ted doesn't recognize him. To find out his name, he tells Mrs. Doyle to try to guess what it is, and amazingly, she guesses it in less than an hour.
Season 3
Hot Mic: Episode 3, "Speed 3" (1998). Ted and Dougal are spying on Pat Mustard, the milkman, with Dougal on the parabolic microphone. He turns the volume all the way up to try to hear Pat Mustard inside a house when a car drives by and honks its horn.
Jumper: Episode 8, "Going to America" (1998). At a celebration called, "It's Great Being a Priest '98," a young priest climbs out onto a ledge and prepares to jump, and Ted talks him back inside by telling him he's his friend.
