Dharma and Greg couldn't be more different from each other: she's a free-spirited yoga instructor with hippie parents, and he's a straight-laced lawyer from a wealthy family, but when they meet one day in the subway, they fall instantly in love and rush off to get married that same day. This show follows their unconventional marriage as they get to know each other's families, friends, and assorted quirks.

Jump: Episode 3, "Shower the People You Love with Love" (1997). When they meet for a round of golf, Edward tells Larry he's too much of a coward to have fought in Vietnam, so Larry spends the day trying to convince him otherwise. Their argument ends with both of them in an airplane, ready to skydive, but they both chicken out and decide to back to the club and drink instead.
Dying to Die: Episode 7, "Indian Summer" (1997). While sunbathing on the roof, Dharma meets an old Native American man named George, who tells her he's there to die because the land on which the building was built was his ancestors' burial ground, so of course, Dharma lets him stay in their apartment until he dies.
Election: Episode 8, "Mr. Montgomery Goes to Washington" (1997). After Greg wins a big case, Edward convinces him to run for Congress, but his official announcement is ruined when he realizes his fly is open. Then a reporter snaps a photo of him and Dharma doing it in their car, but to Greg's surprise, the photo only endears him to the public.
Oops, We're Not Married: Episode 9, "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Father" (1997). While running a routine background check, Pete discovers that Edward was married to someone else before Kitty, and they never finalized their divorce, which means he and Kitty were never really married.
Plastic Fantastic: Episode 17, "The Official Dharma & Greg Episode of the 1998 Winter Olympics" (1998). Kitty is turning 50, and to celebrate, she plans to get a bunch of plastic surgery so she doesn't actually look 50, but Dharma, Abby, and Jane are convinced it's bad idea, so they try to talk her out of it.
Dance Contest: Episode 21, "Spring Forward, Fall Down" (1998). When Dharma finds out about a dance contest at the club, she becomes obsessed and makes Greg practice with her constantly. The day of the contest, she decides to try some fancy moves they could never really nail, and ends up flying across the room, crushing Greg and some tables.
Season 2
Exclusive School: Episode 2, "It Takes a Village" (1998). When Dharma and Greg decide to adopt the checkout girl's newborn baby, of course, their parents of course try to take over, including getting him an interview with Aubin's Preschool. Dharma thinks it's a little too soon because he's only a baby, but Kitty tells her that Greg got in based on his sonogram.
The Ascent of Stan: Episode 9, "Brought to You in Dharmavision" (1998). Dharma realizes that she's changed since she married Greg and become too much like a Montgomery. She sees the ghost of George, the Native American man who passed away on her roof, and he tells her to go on a vision quest, so she and Jane go into the woods, where Dharma realizes that no matter what other think she is, she's still herself, and Greg is the only one who accepts her for who she is.
The Ascent of Stan: Episode 16, "See Dharma Run" (1999). When Dharma gets a bunch of tickets for putting change in strangers' parking meters, she's determine to prove the law is wrong, so she goes to the city Board of Supervisors, and the supervisor she speaks to gets fed up and drops dead, so she decides to run in the special election for his spot.
Playing the Market: Episode 20, "Dharma Drags Edward Out of Retirement" (1999). Dharma finds out that Greg is investing in the stock market, and she wants to invest too. Greg sets up an account and gives her half of their savings, and she promptly loses all of it, then asks Edward for help.
Season 3
Beauty Contest: Episode 5, "I Did It for You, Kitty" (1999). Kitty is going through menopause and feeling bad about herself, so when Dharma finds out she used to be in beauty contents as a teen, she decides to enter Kitty in the Mrs. San Francisco pageant.
Séance: Episode 6, "The Very Grateful Dead" (1999). When their elderly, Doris, neighbor passes away, Dharma sees her ghost and thinks she has some unfinished business. To find out what Doris wants, Abby holds a séance to contact her.
Landlord from Hell: Episode 9, "Law and Disorder" (1999). Nothing in Jane and Pete's apartment works, and their elderly landlady won't return their calls. Dharma buys the old lady's sob story and suggests she raise everyone's rent to pay for th repairs. The landlady raises the rent, then goes on a cruise without fixing anything, so all the other tenants hate Dharma.
Commercial Star: Episode 11, "Lawyers, Beer and Money" (1999). When Dharma briefly appears in Greg's private practice commercial, a beer company calls her out of the blue and asks her to appear in their commercial, which is a big success. Meanwhile, Greg isn't getting any clients form his.
Happy Loving Couples: Episode 12, "Looking for the Goodbars" (1999). Dharma and Greg feel like they need more couple friends besides Pete and Jane. They audition a few couples, and they don't work out, but they run into Cynthia and Doug on the street and hit it off right away. The two couples spend all their time together until suddenly Cynthia and Doug stop calling. Dharma and Greg track them down and find them having dinner with another couple, so they confront them for "cheating" on them.
Some Days You Just Can't Get Rid of a Body: Episode 16, "Weekend at Larry's" (2000). While Dharma and Greg are housesitting for Abby and Larry, their dogs dig up the remains of Larry's friend, Pinto, who wanted to be cose to Abby and Larry even in death. Dharma and Greg re-bury the body, but the Department of Water and Power shows up to bury some pipes, so Dharma and Greg have to move Pinto. As DWP keeps changing the location of the pipes, Dharma and Greg keep having to re-bury Pinto.
On Strike: Episode 20, "Talkin' About My Regeneration" (2000). When Larry finds out that Celia, the Montgomerys' maid, doesn't have dental insurance, he convinces her to form her own union and go on strike.
Season 4
Play Ball: Episode 3, "Playing the Field" (2000). Greg fills in for Abby on the educational co-op softball team, and he's annoyed by how terrible every single person on the team is, so he tries to educate them about the game and get them to at least try to win. At their next game, they still lose, but thanks to Greg, they feel badly about it.
Raging Bull&@!: Episode 9, "Boxing Dharma" (2000). A woman hassles Dharma in a bar, and she hits her. Then she meets the woman's sister and hits her too. Frightened by her own anger, Dharma thinks she needs a healthy outlet, so she decides to box Jane, but Jane knocks her out.
Write What You Know: Episode 19, "Kitty Dearest" (2001). While Kitty and Greg are on the outs, Kitty becomes close David, a friend of Dharma's. When all the Montgomerys go to see David's one-man show, they're surprised to find that whole show is about Kitty, and he performs it as her.
Season 5
Will You Marry Me Again?: Episode 21, "The Parent Trap" (2002). Kitty announces to the family that she and Edward are renewing their vows, but while Kitty plans, assigns jobs to Dharma and Greg, and fawns over her dress, Edward tells everyone he isn't going to show up because she never asked him if he wanted do it.
Role Reversal: Episode 23, "The Mamas and the Papas: Part 1" (2002). While both families are on vacation together in the Montgomerys' cabin, Larry accidentally breaks a Tiffany lamp, which enrages Kitty. To help resolve the conflict, Dharma tells them to role play as each other. Abby decides to role play as the broken lamp, and Larry gets confused about who the real Kitty is.
