Greeting card writer, Bob McKay, quits his job to bring back his short-lived comic series, "Mad Dog," and the new publisher makes him partner up with an unstable artist in an office full of kooky characters.

Season 1
Focus Group: Episode 4, "Penny for Your Thoughts" (1992). Mr. Terhorst arranges a focus group to give their opinions on Mad Dog. They like the comic, but they can't stand Penny, Mad Dog's girlfriend, who's based on Kaye.
Poker Night: Episode 7, "A Streetcar Named Congress Douglas" (1992). Bob holds a poker game at his house with his old comic book creator buddies, and two of them try to make a pass at Kaye.
Between Floors: Episode 15, "You Can't Win" (1993). Bob, Kaye, Harlan, and Shayla get stuck in a stalled elevator on their way to the "Buster" awards ceremony.
Awkward Awards: Episode 15, "You Can't Win" (1993). At the "Buster" awards ceremony, the creator of the gang's rival comic book series wins almost every award, and to make matters worse, Trisha is his date.
Will You Marry Me Again?: Episode 20, "I'm Getting Remarried in the Morning" (1993). For their anniversary, Trisha wants to throw her parents a vow renewal ceremony because they never got a real wedding due to Bob being stung by bees and going into anaphylactic shock.
The Odd Couple: Episode 21, "Tell Them Willy Mammoth is Here" (1993). Kathy Fleisher is moving out of her parents' house, and she asks Trisha to be her roommate. Trisha is reluctant at first, but after she sees how nice the apartment is, she gets excited. After Trisha moves in, Kathy reveals that she asked Albie to move in too, and Trisha finds the two of them together unsufferable.
Season 2
Milwaukee: Episode 5, "Kiss and Sell" (1993). Bob goes on a sales trip to St. Louis, and his client, an attractive businesswoman, comes onto him. Later, she "apologizes" by showing up in his room with champagne and caviar.
Weird Wedding Venue: Episode 7, "Have Yourself a Married Little Christmas" (1993). Whitey's getting married in Bob's house for some reason.
