Wrong Card: Episode 8, "The Day Smart Turned Chicken" (1965). Max hands a doctor his business card, which reads, "Ahn Kipness, Furrier to the Stars." The doctor has to hold it up to the light to see that it says he's Agent 86 of Control.
Rorschach Test: Episode 20, "All in the Mind" (1966). Max goes undercover as a disturbed Army officer to investigate a psychiatrist. One of the many tests the doctor gives him is a rorschach test.
Season 2
On Strike: Episode 2, "Strike While the Agent is Hot" (1966). Max becomes the head of the Control agents union and tries to negotiate with the Chief for better treatment and more perks for agents.
Vacation All I Never Wanted: Episode 6, "Casablanca" (1966). The Chief orders Max to go on vacation to keep him off a case, and Max refuses.
Monkeying Around: Episode 10, "The Greatest Agent on Earth" (1966). Max discovers that a chimp was an accomplice to a murder at a circus.
Amnesia: Episode 23, "Where-What-How-Who Am I?" (1967). A KAOS doctor gives Max a pill that makes him lose his memory.
Awkward Awards: Episode 25, "How to Succeed in the Spy Business Without Really Trying" (1967). Max hosts an award ceremony for all the chiefs of Control.
Season 3
The Old Inflatable Raft Gag: Episode 2, "Viva Smart" (1967). While demonstrating to 99 how he hid his emergency escape balloon in a false pocket in his suitcase, Max accidentally inflates it, and it turns out to be an inflatable raft instead.
Séance: Episode 4, "The Spirit is Willing" (1967). A medium leads Max and 99 in a séance to contact a key witness everyone believes is dead.
Little Black Book: Episode 16, "The Little Black Book: Part 1" (1968). Max's old army buddy, Sid, comes to town and asks Max to find him a date. Max tells him to look in his "little black book."
Rorschach Test: Episode 17, "The Little Black Book: Part 2" (1968). Sid rants about Control and secret agents to the police, so they send him to a psychiatrist, who gives him a Rorschach test.
Centerfold: Episode 21, "Operation Ridiculous" (1968). A writer is doing a story on Control for a national news magazine, and he decides to shadow Max and 99 to chronicle their typical day. Unbeknownst to everyone, the writer's assistant is a KAOS agent, who's manipulating him to write a smear piece.
Season 4
Rear Window: Episode 24, "Greer Window" (1969). Max gets shot in his rear end and is temporarily out of commission, so he spends his time watching an office building across from his apartment, and he catches KAOS agents stealing secret documents.
