Exclusive School
One or more characters are trying to get a child admitted to a very exclusive (and expensive) private school. Usually they have to start applying when the child is a baby, or even earlier.

- Frasier: Season 4, episode 7, "A Lilith Thanksgiving" (1996). Frasier and Lilith want to get Frederick into Marbury Academy, so they meet with Dr. Campbell, the headmaster, on Thanksgiving in an attempt to ingratiate themselves to him. When they hear that Dr. Campbell's turkey is undercooked, they bring him the one that Niles has been cooking for their dinner. Campbell reluctantly accepts Frederick on the condition that Frasier and Lilith never show their faces at the school.
- Just Shoot Me!: Season 2, episode 7, "Twice Burned" (1997). Jack finds out that Hannah was rejected from Woodbridge Academy, which confuses him because he donated a wing to the school, so he decides to pay the headmaster a visit armed with bribes and a reference from the only person he knows who attended the school: Maya, but when he meets the headmaster, he learns that the wing he donated was to replace the one Maya burned down when she was a student.
- Dharma & Greg: Season 2, episode 2, "It Takes a Village" (1998). When Dharma and Greg decide to adopt the checkout girl's newborn baby, of course, their parents of course try to take over, including getting him an interview with Aubin's Preschool. Dharma thinks it's a little too soon because he's only a baby, but Kitty tells her that Greg got in based on his sonogram.
- Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 6, episode 3, "The Ida Funkhouser Roadside Memorial" (2007). Larry and Cheryl are trying to get Keysha and Daryl into the Dryden School, and Larry threatens their chances by pissing off the dean of admissions, and his attempt to make amends not only ruins it fro Keysha and Daryl but Sami Greene too.
