Dying to Die

An elderly person who believes they're about to die travels to the place where they want to spend their last moments and refuses to leave.

• Good Times: Season 3, episode 16, "A Place to Die" (1975). While James is away for work, an elderly man whom Michael befriended comes to the Evans family home to die among people he likes.
• Barney Miller: Season 5, episode 13, "The Indian" (1979). An elderly Native American man is arrested for trespassing in a restricted area of the park, and he says he went there to die.
• Wings: Season 1, episode 2, "Around the World in 80 Years" (1990). An old man, who has been flying around the world, believes he's going die as soon as he's finished because of a promise he made to God, and he has decided to die in Nantucket
• Dharma & Greg: Season 1, episode 7, "Indian Summer" (1997). While sunbathing on the roof, Dharma meets an old Native American man named George, who tells her he's there to die because the land on which the building was built was his ancestors' burial ground, so of course, Dharma lets him stay in their apartment until he dies.
